Scouse71, a trojan horse is a virus.

If you want to learn the advanced information, trojan horse is one thing, and a virus is a completely different thing, both will do harm to your computer, big time, specially the trojan, and specially the trojan type and version.

A trojan will give the author complete access to your computer if your computer is connected to the internet, but it will slow down your computer, and do other stuff bad too even if you are not connected to the internet.

A virus is a small application created with all sort of programming languages, like the trojan horse, but th virus is a malware program designed to replicate itself on your computer hard drive and system and network in order to substitue your system files and documents, eventually to destroy your computer completely or parcially, depends how good or worse the virus is, as well as the trojan horse of course but that depends on he author, if he wants to format your hard drive or just wants to joke with you or if he just wants your password and bank credit card numbers and usernames and all of it that is confidencial and that can bring profit.

I have the winrar 3.80 final and full, with no crack needed, i installed it on my windows pc:

Lion, the trojan you are seeing is a false positive, you will find that most antivirus programs will pick thing up like that in all keygens and patches, but they are safe...
